The amazing weekend…

Extending my line of Everlastings

Friday started off well, but with changing plans and shifting itineries, dinner was 50% and so was the location – a prelude to the fluidity of the weekend’s activities!

Gourd Flower

A Saturday to get some chores and gardening done plus perhaps an hour in the gym became the amazing race with a delicious home cooked lunch followed by a lazy start to photo arrangements for a gift which suddenly turned into a panicked rush to get a last minute photo printed. The wrapping was also another challenge! Throw in a sudden request to get ‘Long Yoke‘ meant a reshuffling of the rest of the day’s itinery. Good thing we dropped the gym out of the schedule.

More gourds

Seventy-five kilometers later, we back home and dinner’s gone from restaurant to restaurant and finally, it’s decided. Oh wait, another suprise crops up and we have to rush to a nearby store to get a critical item! Oh joy! That’s not it. After having printed the photos for the Family day, I forget that I’ve to burn CDs for each customer. Last minute CD late night CD burning results and I can finally sleep at 1am! Sunday’s a bit better and managed to soak in a pool for an hour. A short nap in the afternoon and lots of gardening to do. Darn, I need to look for my hike and camp stuff for next weekend’s Chiling Falls trip. Where’s my portable camp shower, my pots and pans and my stove??

So that’s how it forms!

Half-a-weekend

Half a weekend has gone by and I’m no less tired or no more rested than the past couple of days! And I’ve still a few CDs to write for tomorrow. Time to finish the job and get to bed. More about this amazing race weekend tomorrow. Gotta get rest in preparation for next weekend which is even more packed! Hmm, what do I do with the work-week in between?

Mid-week pause

Well, the week is partially over. I can’t wait for tomorrow. There’s the family prints that I need to get done. I’ve done up two big black and white prints (16×20 and 20×30) so I can’t wait to see those printed as well. I know it’s just Wednesday night but somehow I feel rather tired and empty. The tiredness is probably due to the lack of sleep and the hectic week and weekend that preceeded this week. The empty feeling, well, ah, nevermind. I still need to reshuffle the calendar photos.

Alien Antennae or Long beans?

On a Zzz Monday

Cat Tail

It’s been a long, stressful week that went by. Mid-week status meetings going nowhere. Irrational customer demands, lack of sleep, friday night rollover was close to a mini-disaster of sorts, low sugar levels, and heck, stuff going all directions, unexpected things happening in all places. The framing shop failing to frame a critical gift. My tenant is not paying his rent, oh the joys of a terrible week.

Well, I’ve to start finishing the portrait photos we’ve done for the family day. While generally the photos turned out great, there’s a few with exposure and lighting issues. If there’s any evidence that one should always shoot RAW (besides articles like this and this), this is it. It’s like you’re using half your fancy all-singing all-dancing digital SLR. It’s like why settle for 256 shades of each color when you can have 4096! If the difference isn’t obvious, I don’t know what is. Looks like it’s time to crank up Photoshop!

Oh, the farm is doing well in terms of long beans and broccoli which are growing well. Th guourds aren’t fruiting for a strange reason but my cattails are sprouting! Yay! The weekend was packed with acitivities and chores. Lots more gardening and landscaping to do but I think I’ll wait for a long weekend or a short break somewhere…

Of harvests and beans

Doesn’t look like a lot but if you get four to six long beans everyday, it does pile up quickly in the refridgerator!

Daily harvest

Another weekend…

And another two birthdays done. And it’s back to work! Look forward to the next weekend, and another TWO birthdays! Of course more birthdays and house warming and major birthday coming up soon as well. Oh, click the photo if you want to check out some pix of PJEFC‘s Family and Fun day. Oh, I can’t wait for another weekend. This ain’t good.
