How to eat without a fork?

Real life comments from passengers…

Passenger to Cabin-crew…
“What is this-ah?”
“Chicken pie.”
“What? No rice-ah?”
“Beh pah, aneh-kwan (not filling, like this)” (To seat-mate)

Five minutes later…
“Excuse me miss, like that how to eat? No fork or knife-ah?”
“Use your hand. I’ll try to look for a fork for you…”

Sigh…

A wet, wet stop at Machap…

What is Love Saturday

icon_ltgray_open_quote My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn’t know the first thing about God, because God is love—so you can’t know him if you don’t love. This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they’ve done to our relationship with God. icon_ltgray_close_quote
icon_ltgray_open_quote My dear, dear friends, if God loved us like this, we certainly ought to love each other. No one has seen God, ever. But if we love one another, God dwells deeply within us, and his love becomes complete in us—perfect love! icon_ltgray_close_quote

Rain, traffic and then some

After yesterday’s horrendous storm, it would seem like the rest of Kay-El went crazy. Traffic was awful to say the least, and everything seems just off, even this morning. Anyways, traffic anywhere was bad till almost 9pm. Didn’t have time to rush off to get a UV filter for my new lens. Was also busy doing a last minute amazing move at 9pm to Sunway. Still have somethings to prepare/do for a friend’s wedding this weekend. That said, I hope I’d be able to get my new notebook by tomorrow. Looks like the next four weeks will be really, really busy!

On a bz saturday

The long raya break has started.
I’ve like 12 things on the list of to-do’s. Some more critical than others, but still things to get done. Was supposed to start on one thing today but unfortunately, other things got in the way and right now, I’ve still got to clean my room otherwise, it’ll be a bit hard to get to bed. It looks like a hurricane came through right now. Still, at least I got the car serviced. Started prepping my sunflower plot but it’ll need another day to complete it. Still need to do my curtain rails so a trip to Ikea is still required.

Kenny Lee – 1971-2005

A tribute to a good friend who when faced with the worse problem anyone can have never asked why. He just lived life as it is, taking it one day at a time. He never let cancer stop him from living life, going on our hikes, outings, and activities. I sensed he knew what was coming but never let anyone know.

I’ll miss him but I take comfort in the assurance that he’s in a place far better than here, free from pain and suffering and finally, he is truly free.

For now, if you can, donate to either the Malaysian National Cancer Society or the American Cancer Society or your local Cancer Foundation.
