Taking charge

What does it mean to lead?
What does it mean to be a manager or the boss?
Well, it means that you take the lead.
Like Mr Oh, my air-conditioner installer who put in an aircon into my unit this morning. Tweleve floors up and who climbed outside the window with a three-inch ledge with nothing more than a safety harness strapped to the puny aluminum window frame and his worker. When I asked him why he went outside and not his worker, he said, “I’m the boss so I takes the risk. I own the company, the other guy just works for me.”

Leadership principle I learned from a simple lesson this morning. When you lead, take ownership, including the risks.

Hope, Faith and Love

icon_ltgray_open_quoteThe Lord God almighty is my refuge and my strength.
In my greatest failings, He is my recovery;
In the lost of trust, He is the rock of steadfast love;
In faithfulness abandoned, He is forever faithful.
In my wicked ways, He is always good and full of grace.
In all things He has given beyond measure, beyond expectation;
Beyond dreams and imagination, totally undeserving.
Beyond all hopes and dreams, He has given.
For in this matter, the work of my hands are but naught;
But in His abundant love, grace and mercy;
Poured out till overflowing, the only thing I cannot give.
Salvation to the one I love more than life itself.

“My grace is sufficient for you”

Through the last few days… the elaborate con-job to steal my phone, my dad’s operation, everything. I realize how much more grace and peace that I have. Trying times but am reminded that God most of all is with me. Thanks to SS4 for praying and support and my most precious darling for being there, to hold and to lean on. God bless.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Priorities

PRIORITY
Pronunciation: prI-‘or-&-tE, -‘är-
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural -ties
1 a (1) : the quality or state of being prior (2) : precedence in date or position of publication — used of taxa b (1) : superiority in rank, position, or privilege (2) : legal precedence in exercise of rights over the same subject matter
2 : a preferential rating; especially : one that allocates rights to goods and services usually in limited supply 3 : something given or meriting attention before competing alternatives

What comes first in your life? Spouse? Boyfriend/Girlfriend? Family? Friend? Well, I’ve learnt one thing is to put God first. This is because, once you set that priority right, the rest will follow. I mean if you really put God first, then you should be following his commands, which means, the rest will end up well. Afterall, who’s really afraid of their spouse, boy/girlfriend or parents? God is greater than them so you ought to be mindful of where God is in your priority list… something to think about I guess.

What is Love Monday…

icon_ltgray_open_quote O let the Son of God enfold you;
with his Spirit and his Love;
O come and sing this song with gladness;
as your hearts are filled with joy,
Let Him fill your heart and satisfy your soul.
Lift your hands in sweet surrender to his name.

O let him have the things that hold you and his Spirit like a dove
O give Him all your tears and sadness, give him all your years of pain

He will descend upon your life and make you whole.
And you’ll enter into life in Jesus’ name. icon_ltgray_close_quote
