It’s Friday!

On a bright cheery Friday morning, I stumbled (or drove into more like it) a grisly scene.

Not sure if someone died but there were two people who weren’t moving the whole time I was waiting for the lights.

On a side note, there’s a firmware update for Canon’s EOS-350D (Digital Rebel XT) here.

Sunflower Bud!

Woke up in a daze this morning. It’s June 1st. Went to check on my sunflowers and lo and behold, there’s a flower bud!

Spring is here!

Misc ramblings for a Tuesday

Well, it’s Tuesday.
I’m still waiting for a decision on my time-off for next week. I’ll probably force an answer by the end of the business day today. I also found out that the network at this particular logistics company has some blocking effects on Yahoo!’s messenger client.

The Harbin project (aka WA Blog) is still proceeding as planned and I’ve just managed to get the dev and rough plan together during lunch today. Sometime over the weekend, our dedicated server got upgraded with PHP 5. Obviously moving from a 4.x to 5.04, there were some issues which required a few hours last night to track down and fix. Surprisingly Don’t Panik wasn’t affected, only WebAperture. Most likely due to the more extensive codebase, some even dating back to 2002 (2000 is the oldest code but most have be rewritten, improved and revised since then).

Came across some interesting news on the Photo front recently. Agfa is bankrupt (not surprising), Olympus is shedding 30% of it’s employees and recently had it’s credit status downgraded. In another similar news, Pentax too is triming it’s workforce. HP releases a funky digital camera designed by Gwen Stefani… strange. but looks like it’s for the Japanese market only. Not sure what’s up at Nikon but their imaging division seems to have been saved by their other businesses.

Can u believe this?

Was driving out this morning and saw this interesting scene 100 meters away from my house. All I had time to do was grab my Nokia phone and snap a picture in the mirror.

How did they do it?
