Till the cows come home

Ramblings and thoughts for a Monday.
A most excellent Monday. So rare are these Mondays that each one should be savored.
Of course the day started well, with a superbly done Hazelnut latte, extra hot, skim-milk with a dash of cinnamon on top. Then it’s off to do a bit of work accompanied with excellent vocals on my iPod from the Best Audiophile voices I. Then it’s more excellent food and treatment from the friendly people at Starbucks Menara Maybank. Then it a bit of web surfing, trip planning and oh, a nice slice of apple crumble pie for dessert. Of course, I’m going off to KLCC to do shopping and dinner as well so today is turning out really great for a Monday!

It’s Friday

Another week, and another Friday.
Yesterday when I left work at 8pm, some <expletive> decides to say to me “Hey, Eugene, don’t you normally go home around six? Staying late today?”
Does that matter? I get to work before 9am. I have a life and they don’t own me. Worse yet is that someone is obviously watching what time I leave. So, today being Friday, I think just screw’em and I’ll pack up and leave before six. Afterall, I’ve an all important dinner to get to!

Two weeks without Coffee?

Who’d guess but today marks 12 days since I’ve actually had a cup of coffee. Technically I stopped sometime on March 9 which makes it more than 2 weeks but I had some at our picnic at Chiling Falls so… Any cravings? Well, yes, especially during the mornings. Well, I’m not giving it up completely though and I’ll probably resume soon 😀

Relocating the giant palm

Too much work out over the weekend is definitely not good for Mondays …but great for health (if you have enough zzz:)). Who would have thought that moving ‘a pot of plant’ can make you shed a few kilos and shape up all those biceps/triceps. The move was definitely not scheduled until after lunch on Saturday – the unexpected adventure begins…

Of sleep or the lack thereof…

Today is Monday.
Obviously it’s already a day almost eveyone doesn’t look forward to.
It’s worse if you have weeks or actually the past 8 months of frantic weekend activity that give you no time to rest or catch up. The past 3 days have been hectic, packed, and filled days… with this upcoming weekend not much different!
