2007, a pause and a moment

Life

As 2006 ended and 2007 began, the fireworks bursting in the sky though blocked by houses and trees, I thought of this entry. Not really a poem but probably a prayer more like it.

At the end of 2006, Thank you Lord for the year passed.
Thanks for the ups and downs and everything in between;
The people, the good and the bad.
For the greatest gift, your Son, On the cross of calvary;
Without whom, there will not be anything else.
Thank you my heavenly father for teaching me love,
For I no longer know how to love, to love right.
Thank you Lord, for my Christmas gift 2 years ago,
My precious darling. One whom I love so much;
With the love only Lord you can provide to me.
Help me forgive those who wronged me,
Forgive me for my numerous failings,
Though yet your grace is always sufficient for me.
Teach me daily how to love this unique darling,
Show me your love Lord, so that I can do the same;
For you are Love.

A packed weekend that was a big big wedding day and night followed by a Christmas Eve dinner and Dinner (yes, two dinners in ONE night!)… Utterly zonked.

4×4’s Wanted (driver’s optional!)

4×4’s and the drivers (optional) wanted for Orang Asli community work!
The following is a vehicle criteria:

  • At least 10 inches (25cm) running ground clearance, i.e. transfer boxes, drive shafts, fuel tanks and axles need to be this high off the ground. Higher = better!
  • 28 inch air intake clearance – otherwise you’ll suck bad! Snorkels not required.
  • All-terrain tires. No highway radials, HT tires, etc. MT or Mud Tires will be great.
  • Part-time 4WD (this automatically means you can lock the differentials to ensure power is going to all wheels. For Full-time 4WD vehicles, you’ll need to ensure your vehicle has a Lock-able center differential (i.e. Perdoua Kembara, Daihatsu Terios…)

  • Mitsubishi Storm 2000-2004
  • Toyota Hilux pre-2005
  • Land Rover Defender
  • Jeep Wrangler
