If you’re on a night out in town and craving a sugar boost, why not drop into a bright and cheery little dessert shop called Sweet Talk. Located on Tengkat Tong Shin, it’s pretty much in the happening part of town which incidentally refers to Kay-El.
What does Sweet Talk offer? Well, think Chinese dessert, think Hong Kong, think Tong Sui. All in all a great place to hang out, catch up and best of all, it stays open till 1am!
Obviously we didn’t try everything on the menu but there’s one thing comes highly recommended. This is Tau Foo Far or Curded Soy Milk or even Soy Cheese! depending on who you ask. Anyways, the interesting bit here is that it’s made on your table, right in front of your eyes. The fresh and hot soy milk is curded in a neat little wood and steel barrel. It’s delectably soft and full of flavor so it’s not all just for show!
BTW, if you want to try this delectable Tau Foo Far, come after 9pm otherwise you’ll usually end up with just soy milk!
There’s a whole lot of other Chinese desserts such as Red Bean paste, Fried bread sticks and other excellent herbal concotions, just the required remedy if you’ve been partying and drinking all night.
In case you are starving, they do have a few meals available including noodles and rice with black papper pork chops. All in all, a great place to end a night out.
