icon_ltgray_open_quoteWhy?

We rode into town the other day, just me and my
Daddy. He said I’d finally reached that age, and I
could ride next to him on a horse that of course
was not quite as wide We heard a crowd of people
shouting and so we stopped to find out why There
was that man that my dad said he loved, but today
there was fear in his eyes

So I said Daddy why are they screaming? Why are
the faces of some of them beaming? Why is he
dressed in that bright purple robe? I bet that
crown hurts him more than he shows Daddy please
can’t you do something? He looks as though he’s
gonna cry You said he is stronger than all of
those guys-Daddy please tell me why, why does
everyone want him to die?

Later that day the sky grew cloudy and daddy said
I should go inside Some how he knew things would
get stormy, boy was he right But I could not keep
from wondering if there was something he had
to hide So after he left I had to find out, I was
not afraid of getting lost So I followed the
crowds to a hill where I knew men had been killed
And I heard a voice come from a cross:

And it said : Father why are they screaming. Why
are the faces of some of them beaming? Why are
they casting their lots for my robes?? This crown
of thorns hurts me more than it shows. Father
please can’t you do something? I know that you
must hear my cry. I thought I could handle a cross
of this size, Father remind me why, why does
everyone want me to die. When will I understand
why?

My precious Son, I hear them screaming. I’m
watching the face of the enemy beaming but soon I
will clothe you in robes of my own. Jesus this
hurts me much more than you know, but this dark
hour I must do nothing. Though I’ve heard your unbearable
cry — the power in your blood destroys all the
lies, soon you’ll see past their unmerciful eyes.
Look there below see the child trembling by her
father’s side. Now I can tell you why, she is why
you must die.

Every time I pray…

icon_ltgray_open_quoteFor every time I pray
I move the hand of God
My prayer does the things
My hands cannot do
For every time I pray
The mountains are removed
The paths are made straight
And nations turn to you. icon_ltgray_close_quote

A Song for Christmas

icon_ltgray_open_quoteMary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy has come to make you new?
This Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will calm the storm with His hand?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little Baby you kissed the face of God?

Mary did you know.. Ooo Ooo Ooo

The blind will see.
The deaf will hear.
The dead will live again.
The lame will leap.
The dumb will speak
The praises of The Lamb.

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will one day rule the nations?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy is heaven’s perfect Lamb?
The sleeping Child you’re holding is the Great, I Am.icon_ltgray_close_quote

How Can I Keep From Singing

icon_ltgray_open_quoteThere is an endless song
Echoes in my soul
I hear the music ring

And though the storms may come
I am holding on
To the rock I cling

How can I keep from singing Your praise
How can I ever say enough
How amazing is Your love
How can I keep from shouting Your name
I know I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart want to sing

I will lift my eyes
In the darkest night
For I know my Savior lives

And I will walk with You
Knowing You’ll see me through
And sing the songs You give

I can sing in the troubled times
Sing when I win
I can sing when I lose my step
And fall down again
I can sing ’cause You pick me up
Sing ’cause You’re there
I can sing ’cause You hear me, Lord
When I call to You in prayer
I can sing with my last breath
Sing for I know
That I’ll sing with the angels
And the saints around the throne

Merdeka, a reflection

independence (Merdeka)
1. The state or quality of being independent; freedom from dependence; exemption from reliance on, or control by, others; self-subsistence or maintenance; direction of one’s own affairs without interference.
2. Sufficient means for a comfortable livelihood.

For #1, looking back, one has to consider the most important liberation of all, from sin and death. It just reminds me about the chorus of Chris Tomlin’s Amazing grace:
My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, Amazing grace

Just remember that and you’ll see life completely different. Even if people don’t appreciate what you’ve done or what you’ve given, when people still scorn your life poured out for them, undeserved; realize then that our Lord Jesus himself poured out his life, unreservedly, completely, for us all – also undeserved. His Grace is sufficient for me. That’s all that matters.

What would you choose:
1. Wealth unlimited and fame beyond measure or Love, pure love?
2. To live forever or just a ONE lifetime with the one you love?
3. Everything and anything on this world, or just one, the one you love?
That’s the answer to #2…

Try listening to Chris Tomlin’s Amazing Grace (My chains are gone) and I’ll guarantee that you’ll feel something stir at the very least. It’s that good. Help WebAperture (and me of course) by buying it from Amazon over here.

icon_ltgray_open_quoteAmazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I’m found
Was blind, but now I see

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, Amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures

My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, Amazing grace

My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, Amazing grace

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God, Who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine

You are forever mineicon_ltgray_close_quote
