Middle Kingdom…

By the time this entry is visible… I’m setting foot (or at least the aircraft should be landing) into Beijing International Airport… No entries till Feb 6, err, Feb 7th actually since by the time I get home from KLIA, it’ll be midnight.

I think Connie needs a new Camera

I think if Connie keeps this up and continues taking such excellent photos, she’s ready to move up!

Sunset @ the Great Wall

p.s. Post-processing notes: Shadows/Highlights to bring out foreground in shadow, added warmth 😀

China in 48 hours

In about fourty-eight hours, I’ll be standing in Beijing, with a forty degree temperature difference! Actually, I just can’t wait! Freezing cold, ice and snow sculptures, food fit for emperors and more await! The only thing now is that I’m not really packed. Yeah, I have stuff in my bag, I have stuff on my bed and I have stuff everywhere… they’re just nowhere near a state of readiness to be on a plane. Also, I need more renmimbi so I’d probably change a bit tonight or tomorrow depending on my time. And I still have Chinese New Year cards to send out!

The Great Climb!

Connie drops more photos depicting the great hike from Jingshanling to Simatai. Look at those stairs. I suppose the trick here is doing this hike with 15lbs of camera equipment!

Are we there yet?

The Wild Wall

Part of my Beijing trip is to attempt the 10km hike on the wild section of the Great Wall, that is from Jingshanling to Simatai…

Can you Hike it?

However, China’s extensive history and magnificent structures make way for awesome macro shots too. I know the scenery and the wide scenes would be great but don’t forget the small things…

Door knob

4 days to go…

And 45 degrees of temperature difference!
We’re going to Beijing and Harbin! I can’t wait but I’m totally not even packed!
