It’s Friday… An unbelievable week and a crazy one at that. When I look back, the heart of the matter is simple. Life’s dreams, achievements, and happiness is one thing, but the most important thing of all is not things but the people around us. How many times have you mentioned the words “I love you” to the one you love this week? I think I’ve only done it two dozen times. How about the friends around you? Have you told them how much you appreciate them? You can have anything in this world and all your success and achievement can turn to dust. For these are all temporary things. “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” ~ Matthew 6:19-21
When I say, “I love you,” it’s not because I want you or because I can’t have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I’ve seen your kindness and your strength. I’ve seen the best and the worst of you. And I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You’re a hell of a woman.
