It’s the time of the year to reflect, and perhaps be a wee bit sentimental. Christmas. Time for giving gifts and generousity. I suppose it’s only natural considering the greatest gift to humanity was born, two thousand years ago. Well, technically, it’s April according to some historians and scholars but let’s not get into such trivial arguments, it’s the meaning of Christmas that matters. The gift of salvation from God to all mankind. The gift of ultimate love. It’s time to remind ourselves that the greatest gift is not sitting in a store shelf (or on an Amazon.com link) but it’s the gift of love. To give love is simply divine and it’s definitely the ultimate gift for Christmas. And you cannot buy that with all the money in this world. So hug (and for some special people, kiss) someone and tell them “I love you.” The simplest words but the hardest to say. What an exquisite Christmas this becomes!
We love because he first loved us.
