Fondue Feasting @ Chocz at Suria KLCC
Heavenly is chocolate in any form, shape or serving and to ensure every single bit of it is savoured, we decided on pre-dinner treat of chocolate fondue.
In three varieties (dark, milk or white) and many flavours, we took a while to decide on Bourbon, simple dark chocolate. Dips for the fondue included choice cuts of apple, pear, strawberry and banana, whole grapes, crystalised cherries and marshmallows.
Simply put, it was a pot of warm chocolate with bits of cut fruits for dipping. It looked like a bonfire gathering, everyone huddled over a “very tiny fire” with their BBQ stick…
The aroma was almost therapeutic! But the eating was (sigh!) yummy….Chocz’ fondue uses high quality chocolate, making this choc episode one of the best I had in a while.
A little thick when first served, the heat gradually made the choc lighter and yummier. The fruits were great, though marshmallows and cherries were a bit of an overkill on the sweetness…but every single bite was worth it.
We complimented the chocolate fondue with a pot of rose petal tea to wash down the sweet bourbon after taste. We were very ‘happy’ and contented with our pre-dinner chocolate treat, and was an excellent way to worked our appetite to the ‘main course’… which was coincidently, yet another hot pot, not chocolates… but kimchi casserole. yup! we adjourned for korean hot pot 🙂 (The editor of this blog has put that on the review list by the way!)
By the way, Chocz is located on the 3rd Floor of Suria KLCC. Highly recommended!
